For many of us, the desire to travel alone is great, however the underlying preconceptions that still shroud lone female in many travel environments, hold us back.

How it all started
Solitude. Beauty. Freedom. Excitement. Peace. Rest. Adventure… we all want to have those moments. Emotional epiphanies when the world stops and time stands still. We become the moment. Unencumbered from responsibilities and obligations.
Travel with Abeona was born in one such moment, on the road from Christchurch to Auckland in New Zealand in the summer of 2022.
No stranger to beautiful places, luxurious hotels or amazing adventures, our fabulous founder Clare Westwood was already deeply in love with travel but knew it could give her more, feed her soul in far richer ways. She knew she wanted to go solo. Venture out alone.
Travelling alone brings with it many challenges and uncertainties. Reservations and fears abound. Solo female travel is hard. At times, insanely tough. It is an experience like no other.....if you can combat those fears, overcome your nerves, utilise coping mechanisms, the reward is phenomenal and like no other experience on earth. Euphoric, heavenly, ecstatic.
Clare has undertaken many luxury solo female adventures. Each time she falls deeper in love with solo travel and returns hungry, wanting more. Excited to share the freedom, help women become empowered, confident, able to embrace their dreams.
