At Travel with Abeona we’re deeply in love with luxury travel and often find ourselves plotting and planning our next trip whilst still on a plane home from the last. 

In today’s hectic world, time off is precious. Yet, more often than not, we find ourselves travelling with friends, family, kids, parents and we have to compromise – a lot.

Destinations, itineraries, flights, expeditions – we’re constantly balancing everyone’s needs to create their perfect trip. 

We dream of time alone, time to ourselves, time to simply not be needed. Tend to our own needs. Recharge our power pack. Revitalise our senses. 

Longing for solo female travel

So, we long for solo female travel – journeying alone, seeing the world, visiting the most gorgeous and luxurious of resorts, free from responsibility, unencumbered by the needs of others. We’re missing adventure.

We crave freedom and yearn for moments that make us feel alive. 

Our thoughts wander and regrets start to seep in – places we’ve not yet visited call to us. Will we ever get to see them? We never seem to have enough time – work, kids, pets, ageing parents – so much keeps us tethered to our day to day lives. 

Over time, ties start to slacken off and time is no longer the limiting factor. What holds us back when the kids have grown up and relationships with husbands or partners are no longer the driving force behind our plans?

For those of us who don’t have kids or a significant other to keep happy,  why aren’t we all booking the trip, packing a suitcase. Activating our out of office? 

Are we all going to wait for the odd girls weekend to get our luxury travel fix away from partners, husbands, kids, pets and parents? 

Is that really enough?
